Abstract: |
The aim of this research is to investigate the effect of antioxidant activities of postbiotic mixture )Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus paracasei and Lactobacillus brevis) on the brain tissue infected with Salmonella typhimurium bacteria in male Wistar rats.In this experimental study, 21 male Wistar rats were divided into three groups, including the control group, infected with Salmonella typhimurium (108 CFU/ml) and the infected model + postbiotic recipient (109 CFU/ml). Became Induction of infection was done by intraperitoneal injection and receiving postbiotic for 30 days by gavage method. After the treatment period, to measure the level of serum cortisol and serotonin, blood was taken from the heart area and brain tissue was extracted to check the level of antioxidant activity of SOD, CAT and MDA in different groups. Data analysis in different groups was done with SPSS software and one-way variance statistical test and p<0.05 was considered significant. The results showed a significant change in the activity level of cortisol, serotonin, SOD, CAT and MDA in the infected groups compared to the control group(P<0.001). While the increase in the level of serotonin, SOD, CAT and the decrease of cortisol and MDA in the treated groups compared to the infected group were shown significantly (P<0.05). Based on the obtained results, the postbiotic mixture (Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus paracasei and Lactobacillus brevis) showed a modulating effect on the antioxidant activity of the brain tissue of rat infected with bacteria. Therefore, it may be used as a promising therapeutic tool. |
